For a dinner with a difference, Supatra River House is a magnificent heritage home that was once home to Khun Ying Supatra Singholaga, a successful business lady, a leading advocate of women’s rights in Thai society and the founder of the Chao Phraya River Ferry Company.
It has since been converted into a restaurant with three main dining areas: the Terrace, an open air section overlooking the river; Baan Thai, a two storey house with a private dining room and balcony; and Baan Khun Ying, an air conditioned section with a scenic river view. Every Saturday might the restaurant showcases Thai classical dances performed by the Patravadi Theatre. The focus is on traditional Thai cuisine with a wide selection of fresh seafood and a choice of à la carte or set menus.
