Asiatique has successfully combined two of the most popular shopping experiences in the city: a night bazaar and a huge themed retail park that can be explored on foot.
It is situated on the site of a once-bustling international trade complex and port. Trade is now centred on a shopping experience with thousands of shops and restaurants housed over an expansive 80,000 sq-m site. Besides shopping and dining, entertainment options include the nightly Calypso lady boy cabaret show and a Thai puppets theatre.
Other entertainment options include the largest Ferris wheel in Thailand, a 4-D cinema and small spas where visitors can stop and get a massage or a facial. Dining is one of the main reasons to come to Asiatique and visitors will not be disappointed with the food on offer. Ranging from inexpensive 100-baht dishes in an open food court where dozens of vendors offer a variety of local Thai dishes, to air-conditioned chic restaurants that serve sophisticated global cuisine, visitors will be spoilt for choice.
